Quince & Co.
I'm happy to say that we have now a Quince & Co. stockist. Shown above are photos of totes knit and crocheted in two of our new yarns, Sparrow and Kestrel. We also stock Willet and Ternand plan to bring in other bases later in the year.
From today through May 31, these four yarns can be purchased here on our website, but after that you will need to come in, call, or email the store.
The gorgeous pullover shown below is Perkins Cove Pullover by Pam Allen designed and knit in Sparrow. This sweater is worked from the top down. The A-line shaping is created by changing to larger needle sizes as you work through the body.
Sparrow is a simple yet beautiful fingering weight 100% linen yarn from Quince & Co. which has a crisp, smooth hand when you knit with it. But after washing and wearing, it becomes handkerchief soft. Spun in Italy from organic linen grown in Belgium.

Yarrow is another pattern from Pam Allen, this time designed and knit in Quince & Co.'s Kestrel. The pullover is knit in the round from the top down, in garter stitch to the bust, then in stockinette stitch to the hem. Sleeves are then continued in garter stitch.
Kestrel is made from the same Belgian organic linen as Sparrow but spun this time in a ribbon structure. Kestrel knits up quickly at 3½ to 4 stitches to the inch. Its flat surface adds a slight texture to simple knit and purl stitches. The best thing about Kestrel is its incredible drape. Like all things linen, woven or knitted, Kestrel only gets better as you wash and wear it.

I love this shawl, Verney, designed by Andrea Rangel in Quince & Co. Tern. This satisfying, simple, and stunning knit starts with a pretty lace border and narrow garter panel and grows to a wide edge.
Tern is a fingering weight blend from Quince and Co. is a luxurious blend of wool and tussah silk. The yarn's muted palette - think vintage painted photographs - results from the way in which the different fibers absorb dye. The wool portion colors thoroughly, but the silk is barely tinted. Tern is a wonderful yarn choice for socks, scarves, mitts, hats, and any sweater that loves a little drape.
