Wake Me Up When It's 2021

Given Utah’s surging COVID rates and low tourism expectations for the upcoming winter ski season, Wasatch and Wool Yarn’s brick and mortar location at Redstone Center will close on October 24. The online store, apart from Dream Club, is now closed but will reopen in mid-December with a new and easier to use online ordering platform.

This has been an extraordinarily difficult decision to make, but my hope is that by being more proactive now, the store will be in a much stronger position come summer and then into 2022.

On a much happier note, I am looking for a more casual space to open in January that we can use for curbside pickup and shopping by appointment. I have already brought in some new yarns from Rowan, Malabrigo, Berroco, Anzula and Quince & Co. which will be making their store debut in the new year. Keep reading our newsletter and following Wasatch and Wool on Instagram and Facebook to learn more about these beautiful yarns.

Wake Me Up When It's 2021 Sale

This is the perfect time to stock up on your fall and winter knitting!

Here are the details:

  • 30% off almost everything in the store, including Lykke needles.

  • 10% off Spincycle, Yarnaceous Fibers, Brooklyn Tweed, Quince & Co., Clinton Hill Cashmere, mYak, Dream in Color and all other needles.

  • 50% off all yarn on the sale table outside.

Some store samples are also for sale at the marked price.

There are very strict rules that must be adhered to protect other customers and me. (If you are a fan of Seinfeld, think Soup Nazi - yes, I’m going to be very strict about your following these rules.)

A mask that tightly covers your mouth AND nose must be worn at all times.

Hand sanitizer must be used when entering the store. We have hand sanitizer near the front door for your convenience.

There is a limit of 3 shoppers in the store at any time. Young and enthusiastic crafters are ALWAYS welcome, but please leave the little children home during this sale.

Please help me have more time to put additional yarn on the shelves by keeping the shelves and sale baskets neat.

This sale is an in-person sale only though private shopping time can be arranged in the mornings prior to opening by calling the store.

All sales made during these two weeks are final sales.

Store Hours for the next two weeks are:

Week of October 12

Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

Week of October 19

Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm.

To quote NY Yankees catcher, manager, and hall of famer Yogi Berra, "It's Déjà vu all over again." I have decided to close the brick and mortar side of Wasatch and Wool on January 29th for an extended
